Project 3
This final project requires students to further explore and integrate the design idea and construction method into a small freestanding structure in relation to the natural landscape. Much emphasis is given to the interpretation and synthesis of the user, site and function in architectural design. Furthermore, the design of this structure must demonstrate architectural objectives and principles, materiality, constructability and the context in creating a memorable spatial experience.
Progress
Workshop Outcome
Workshops were given by our lecturers, tutors and seniors to help us cope with our learning and project 3 requirements. Besides that, the workshop also aim to help students achieve a better understanding on architectural drawings and diagramings.
Final Outcome
In a nutshell, I've learned to be aware and take into account of the surrounding context as well as user's requirements when designing a space or structure. Besides that, I've also learned to use proper architectural symbols and grasped a better understanding of constructing drawings such as plan, elevations and sections. Through this project, I've learned that diagrams are important and effective in translating or demonstrating the design development.
