PROGRESS AND TASK

Wild Mushrooms

REFERERENCE PHOTOS AND INSPIRATION

At the first stage, our lecturer asked us to look for some reference photos of natural elements as inspiration. We were encourage to sketch out the forms, lines and shapes that we can see and acquire from the photos

CONCEPTUAL MODELS

Every week we were given lectures on different type of Rhythms and Balance in the Design Language. After the lectures, we are required to sketch out and build out some conceptual model in the area of 10 x 10 x 10 cm with the shapes identified from the previous sketches of the inspirational reference photos

FINALIZING DESIGN FOR THE BIG MODEL

We are required to build a 20 x 20 x 20cm model by taking 3 different design principles conceptual model and combine it together to make one big model. Before building it, I did some sketches and came up with some ideas on how can I arrange and blend all the 3 principles together to make it look connected and in unity

PHOTOGRAPHY

Finally after completing all the models, I went and took photographs of all the 9 models from plan view and different elevation view. I also photographed and analyzed the lines, shapes, and forms formed by the shadow.

Through this project, I've learnt a lot of knowledge on the design language and was able to put those theories into practice while building my models. Hence, the TGC that I've gained in this model is Discipline Specific Knowledge
